On May 12, 2023, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed a decision to merge Ha Tay College of Education into Hanoi Capital University, under the People's Committee of Hanoi City.

Hanoi Capital University has 3 training facilities including: Headquarters at 98 Duong Quang Ham Street, Quan Hoa, Cau Giay, Hanoi. Facility 2 is at Mai Dinh commune, Soc Son, Hanoi and facility 3 is at 6 Vinh Phuc street, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.
According to the 2024 enrollment project announced by the school, this year, the school officially enrolls and trains at 4 additional facilities in Thuong Tin Town, Thuong Tin District, Hanoi City.
According to the reporter's research, in 2021 and 2022 the school will use it 5 admission methods including: Direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; Admission is based on the Certificate of international foreign language proficiency level 3 or equivalent or higher; Admission is based on high school exam results; Admission is based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Hanoi National University; Admission results for the first semester of grade 12 of high school.

According to information from the school's 2024 Admission Project, in the list of lecturers category up to now, the school has a total number of lecturers of 386, including 315 full-time lecturers, 71 visiting lecturers. .
Up to this point, among the 315 full-time lecturers at the school, there are 9 associate professors, 90 doctors, 210 masters and 15 lecturers with university degrees.

Specifically, in 2021, the total target is 1605 for all training majors. In 2022, the school will increase 503 targets compared to the previous school year, bringing the total targets to 2,108.
In 2023 and 2024, the enrollment target will continue to increase slightly but not significantly: in 2023 it will be 2,139 targets and in 2024 it will be 2,290 targets.
Regarding the number of training majors, the school has also changed in the last 3 years.
Specifically, in 2021, Hanoi Capital University enrolls 22 majors instead of 23 majors like in 2020 (no longer enrolling students in the Environmental Engineering Technology major).
In 2022, the school will return to enrolling students in the Environmental Engineering Technology major and open a new major, Physical Education.
In 2023, the school will open 5 new majors including: Psychology, Literature, Finance – Banking, Cultural Studies, and Labor Protection.
Pedagogy and Language are two majors with high benchmark scores
Regarding the entrance scores for majors in the past 3 years at Hanoi Capital University, there have also been changes from year to year.
In general, sector I (Educational science and teacher training) and sector VII (Humanities, social and behavioral sciences, journalism and information, social services, tourism, hotels, sports, transportation services, environment and environmental protection) always lead the benchmark scores at the school.
In sector I, the leading major is Mathematics Education with 34.8 points in 2021, slightly decreasing to 33.95 points in 2022 (based on a 40-point scale).
Next is the Literature Education major. In 2021, the industry's entry standard score is 34.43 points and will decrease in 2022 with a score of 33.93.
In 2021, the benchmark score for History Pedagogy is 34.10 and will increase in 2022, making it the major with the highest benchmark score in the school with 36 points.
For the Physics Education major, in 2021 the standard entrance score is 29 points and increases slightly in 2022 at 29.87 points.
In 2023, the school will consider the standard score on a scale of 30 points. Specifically, the Mathematics Education major has a standard score of 26.15 points. The Cultural Studies major is in the group of majors with the lowest standard score in the school with a standard score of 16.
According to the 2023 survey results on the rate of students having jobs after graduation within about 12 months recorded by the school, the majors Physics Pedagogy, History Pedagogy, Public Management, Business Administration, Engineering Information technology, travel and tourism service management, social work, and politics are the majors achieving a rate of 100%.

At Hanoi Capital University, tuition fees are regulated according to each training block. For Block I (Educational Science and Teacher Training) and Block III (Business and Management, Law), the expected tuition for the 2024 – 2025 school year is 1,410,000 VND/month, equivalent to equivalent to 14,100,000 VND/year.

For major IV (Life sciences, natural sciences), the expected tuition fee for the 2024 – 2025 school year is 1,520,000 VND/month. School year 2025 – 2026 is 1,710,000 VND/month, school year 2026 – 2027 is 1,930,000 VND/month and school year 2027 – 2028, tuition is 2,123,000 VND/month.
Sector V – (Mathematics and statistics, computer and information technology, engineering technology, engineering, production and processing, architecture and construction, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, veterinary medicine), studying Tuition for the 2024 – 2025 school year is 1,640,000 VND/month, 2025 – 2026 school year the tuition is 1,850,000 VND/month.
For the 2026 – 2027 school year, the prescribed tuition fee is 2,090,000 VND/month and 2,300,000 VND/month for the 2027 – 2028 school year.
