Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Xuan Nhi – Standing Vice President of the Association chaired the conference.
At the conference, a report summarizing the 10-year performance of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Vietnam, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Xuan Nhi affirmed that, after nearly 2 terms, the executive apparatus of the Association has improved in the direction of streamlining, adjusting and assigning work in accordance with the actual requirements of implementing the work program. The Association's activities have gradually become more organized, aiming at professionalism, practicality and efficiency.

Reviewing some important issues that the Association has actively contributed to over the past 10 years, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Xuan Nhi stated:
Firstly, the Association has many suggestions for amending education laws such as: Education Law; Law on Vocational Education; Draft revised Law on Higher Education; Contribute to reviewing, amending and supplementing the Law on Higher Education No. 34/2018/QH14.
Second, the Association submitted to the Prime Minister a number of recommendations related to the system of non-public universities and colleges;
Third, the Association has repeatedly contributed opinions and proposed reviewing the structure of the national education system, planning the network of higher education institutions, and planning pedagogical schools to train teachers at all levels. studies, issues of concern for the college sector, structural issues, scale and quality of human resource training.
The association has also proposed specific solutions for a number of local schools that are facing difficulties, at risk of being dissolved or merged into schools with different missions.
Fourth, the Association recommends maintaining the integrity of the local pedagogical college system and having a comprehensive investment plan to both upgrade teacher training qualifications (to university level) and diversify schools. This follows the community college/university model.
Fifth, the Association proactively and persistently petitions the Prime Minister to instruct the entire education and training sector to urgently replace the solution of letting learners leave school – a passive solution – with a proactive solution. more during the COVID-19 epidemic.
Sixth, the Association has proposed to the competent authorities to direct the serious review of piloting university autonomy.
Seventh, the Association proposed adding a career-oriented high school stream to the 2018 General Education Program.
Eighth, provide suggestions for innovating the organization of high school graduation exams and university entrance exams.
Ninth, provide suggestions for the Project on Human Resource Training for the Semiconductor Industry to 2030 with an orientation to 2050.

Currently, the Association has 26 clubs, each year each club meets one to many times through organizing seminars and workshops on teaching, training and management expertise.
“Over the 10 years of formation and development, the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges has maintained stability and sustainable development. Aiming at the guiding principles, as an “extended arm” of the State, the Association has organized many practical and effective activities and well served the common tasks of the education and training industry.
The Association's activities demonstrate the awareness of protecting the legitimate rights and aspirations of its members. Therefore, the Association enjoys the trust, solidarity, and attachment of its member schools.
Having achieved the above initial results in the past 10 years, in addition to the efforts and enthusiastic contributions of most members, the Association also received the attention and direction of the Government and the support of the members. Ministries (especially the Ministry of Education and Training), relevant central departments and branches and effective coordination of domestic and foreign organizations and partners.
In the coming years, the Association will continue to unite, overcome difficulties, consolidate construction and develop a sustainable Association; persistently carry out our mission to serve better and more for the innovation of Vietnamese higher education”, Vice President Tran Xuan Nhi shared.

Reporting on the organization and summary of activities in 2024, and the Association's expected work program for 2025, Vice Chairman Tran Xuan Nhi said that the Association has contributed opinions and proactively researched to Make recommendations to competent authorities on urgent issues to contribute to protecting the legitimate rights of members (currently the Association has a total of 339 members).
“The Association's comments, proposed solutions, recommendations, etc. are listened to and received by the competent authorities; Most member schools agree to support and enthusiastically participate in the Association's activities, and at the same time voluntarily host seminars and professional seminars of the Association as well as clubs under the Association. festival. Expected operating program in 2025, the Association focuses on implementing key tasks such as:
Promote the construction and development of the Institute for Testing and Evaluation of Educational Quality; Establish a working group to advise and research policies to develop high-tech industries and key technologies;
Continue to research, advise leaders and contribute opinions on legal documents related to the activities and development of the Association (focus is on the national education system towards Open, interconnected, network of higher education institutions, teacher training institutions; develop non-public universities for profit purposes ; ensuring the quality of higher education; human development policies human resources in general and human resources for high-tech industries in particular; digital transformation and green transformation);
Organize an annual national scientific conference in May 2025; Maintain weekly scientific discussions;
Expand international cooperation with foreign agencies and organizations to exchange experiences in developing advanced university models, excellent training programs, new scientific and technological achievements and Exchange and training of experts for units and members of the Association:
