Sharing with reporters from Vietnam Education Electronic Magazine about the secret to achieving high scores in the graduation exam, Le Minh Hieu said that he had to build a learning path very early, besides applying a lot of things. learning methods for each subject.
The valedictorian of block C noted that during the sprint period, students already have quite solid knowledge, so they focus on brief review, practice questions, and access to highly applied and applied knowledge.

Specific methods for each subject
Regarding Literature, according to Minh Hieu, the time to acquire new knowledge and the time to practice questions need to be balanced, wherever you study, you practice.
Minh Hieu divided his learning process into two main stages: the starting stage and the accumulation stage.
In the starting phase, priority is given to learning topics in the categories of reading comprehension and social discussion. Hieu uses traditional methods such as making tables to synthesize knowledge, combining practice with small topics.
The stage of accumulating knowledge, listening carefully to what she teaches in class. You should have one notebook to record the main content and one notebook to record what the teacher shares to increase vocabulary for your essay.
In the last months, you need to pay attention to a few things. First, you should repeat creating a detailed outline for each type of topic, for each topic of the work. This will help consolidate knowledge, avoid missing ideas, especially in the outline section, you need to always write down the related ideas that you have learned.
Second, learn more highly applied knowledge such as analysis and have the skills to incorporate literary theory and evidence into your work appropriately, making your work rich and outstanding. turn on.
Third, increase practice, practice writing new and difficult questions, ensuring there are no “gaps” in knowledge and no surprises or confusion.
“Note that in the literary discussion section, which requires analysis of literary works, candidates must not ignore the artistic analysis of the work. Only by analyzing art can we increase our ability to think associatively and deeply understand the core content of the work.
Along with analyzing the art and content of the work, there is a comparison with other similar or opposing content. Because of this content in their work, the scholars' essays will be expanded, applied, and stand out, different from other essays; Increase your chances of getting a high score.
However, you should not overuse the extended contact section. Too much contact will dilute your essay and not highlight the value of the core content,” Minh Hieu shared his experience in taking the test.
Knowledge can be selected from social networking sites, literary websites or social information from newspapers. According to Hieu, literary pages on the platforms Facebook, Tiktok, and Instagram often share literary analysis, new perspectives, and provide quite in-depth words that can be applied to the essay.
This is also the channel Hieu uses to find review materials and exam practice questions for History and Geography. Hieu also shared: “There are a lot of documents shared on social networks, but you also have to know how to select documents, choose good and standard documents to use.”

Regarding History, Minh Hieu believes that it is necessary to clearly understand the nature of events and events.
History is the subject in which Hieu achieved a perfect score, however this is also the subject that Hieu initially found most difficult because there were too many events.
“It is very important for us to deduce and analyze historical events from causes and effects. When analyzing a problem without understanding its nature and without skills, you will come to completely wrong results,” Hieu said.
Talking about the method of studying History, the valedictorian revealed: “Instead of memorizing textbooks, I summarize historical periods to easily visualize the problem, thoroughly understanding the amount of knowledge and questions possible. appear”.
In addition, Hieu combines tables and mind maps to analyze problems, divides documents into small books for easy learning and review, and combines underlining and circling keywords both when studying and when taking exams. .
In particular, circle the timeline and circle the meaningful phrases, the purpose is to find out the nature of the question as well as the answer and text in the textbook or review materials. These keywords are often located in the predicate position of the sentence, or at the beginning of the sentence.
Along with that, cross out incorrect words in the answer that do not match the question, like an elimination method to find the correct answer.

In particular, the “spaced repetition” method in reviewing is very important. Hieu, for example, today studies chapter I, tomorrow studies chapter II and will review chapter I at the same time. Just like that, “continually covering” the learning content will create the tightest review cycle. .
During the sprint phase, increase reading and re-reading previous notes and keywords; Learn more historical terms and practice questions. The goal is to remember the content correctly and analyze the question.
For Geography, according to Minh Hieu, there must be a very flexible and clear way of learning.
This is Hieu's favorite subject, but the valedictorian himself also had difficulties while taking the test, especially the part that highly applies the content about economic regions.
Hieu said that this section often combines new content, knowledge, and information of the times, and the questions and answers are not old. All four answers seem to be very correct when asked, making students easily confused, distracted, and not knowing which answer to choose.
To pass the high-application section, the valedictorian “thoroughly” searched and listed the questions in this section. Write essay answers to questions from high to low level, from general to specific, detailed with the purpose of deeply understanding the question, thereby making it easier to choose the correct answer to the questions.
Besides, half of the questions in the exam are often related to the Atlas, so studying and observing the Atlas is very important.
Questions using the Atlas are often understandable questions but are easy to get wrong when you do not observe and clearly understand the content of the question. Read the content, underline the content of the question, answer whatever the question asks.
Divide topics or do questions according to each page of the Atlas. You should prepare 2 Atlas books; When studying a book, we circle the content and write analytical content to easily remember the symbols, colors, and content; a book to take to the exam.
Finally, recognition and reading comprehension questions often “fall” into the population section. When reviewing, you need to pay attention to the details and small knowledge of this section to avoid “unjustly” losing points.
In addition to notes when taking exams, the valedictorian also often participates in geography classes on social networks, finds friends to review together, and exchange information to help expand his knowledge and learn more things from everybody.

Need to learn to understand and think logically
In the 2022 high school graduation exam, Dang Thu Uyen, a former student of Doan Hung High School (Phu Tho), excellently scored 9.5 points in Literature, 10 points in History and 9.75 points. Geography score. With this achievement, Thu Uyen became the valedictorian of Block C in the 2022 high school graduation exam of Phu Tho province.
Currently, the female valedictorian of Phu Tho province is a second-year student majoring in Literature Education at Hanoi University of Education.
Dang Thu Uyen is the valedictorian of block C in the 2022 high school graduation exam of Phu Tho province.
Previously, Thu Uyen chose to review block D but then decided to change to block C in the first semester of grade 12. To achieve her dream score, Thu Uyen believes that it is the result of hard work and dedication. unremitting efforts.
“Because of the transfer, there were many difficulties at first, so I spent more time on overcoming those weaknesses. I realize that I need to try harder than other students. If I have free time, I will study on my own. The closer I get to the end of the period, the more I need to speed up,” the female valedictorian confided.
Thu Uyen believes that each subject will have a different way of learning and each person will have a different approach and application of methods. Scholars should not force themselves to follow one method, but should self-evaluate and find the learning method that best suits them to get the best results.
With block C, you should not only focus on memorizing, but also learn to understand and think logically. Thus, when taking the exam, it will be easy to improvise with questions that require high application.
In History, memorization is very important because it requires high accuracy, but that is not enough. Need to understand deeply, widely, clearly and logically to solve learning problems.
“A pretty good method I often apply when studying History is to watch documentaries and historical analysis videos on social networking platforms to get excited, learn more, and help remember for a long time. and won't get bored. Loving History means you have conquered half the journey,” Thu Uyen revealed.
Studying History requires alertness and selective knowledge to avoid knowledge deviations. Students can watch livestreams from teachers and siblings to learn more, or buy books to read and do lots of questions.
Joining history groups or reading comments below each history video also helps us hone our ability to analyze, reason, and debate various issues of the subject.
Must have a notebook to take notes on the subject and, if necessary, take notes at the location of that knowledge. During the test, new knowledge will also be noted in the notebook. With a large amount of knowledge, taking notes in too many places or not taking notes will easily cause forgetfulness or confusion.
While practicing, not only on difficult questions but also on easy questions or questions with known answers, you should use the elimination method to ensure the most accuracy. With questions from application and above, the sentences are often very long, you need to pay attention to each word to find errors and eliminate answers.
The female valedictorian said that among the subjects of Block C, Geography is the subject that Uyen faces many difficulties because of the complexity of the answers.
“I need a lot of time and effort to study to understand Geography, to avoid doing the test with only a “feeling right” and not “definitely right”, Thu Uyen shared.
To choose the correct answer and be sure with your knowledge, Uyen's secret is to work hard on the test. Carefulness needs to be practiced every time you take the test.
For Literature, gifted students are an advantage, however, achieving high scores also requires many factors. When writing, if not controlled, it will lead to rambling without enough meaning, making it difficult to achieve high scores. The most important thing when writing is to pay attention to time. Need to control to ensure enough ideas and complete sentences, avoiding unnecessary rambling.
Thu Uyen gives advice to this year's contestants: “Currently it is a sprint period, students remember to eat well and get enough sleep to ensure their health. Keep a relaxed, optimistic spirit and avoid stress and anxiety before the exam. I know there are many difficulties and pressures, but don't be afraid to seek support from family, friends and teachers.”
